Our Program

Montessori Philosophy
Dr. Maria Montessori's belief in individualized learning as children have develop at their own pace and interest. Based on her observations of what children enjoy to do, she created many approaches and tools for sensory, practical, linguistic, and cultural development. A self-directed learning environment requires a child-friendly and supportive environment, which includes the classroom, resources, and social context.
A Montessori school provides all of the necessary materials, as well as a foundation for a secure and happy learning environment. We build a trusting and respectful relationship with the kid, which fosters self-confidence and drive in the children to attempt new things in life. Our program cultivates an environment where children explore their interests at their own pace. We foster spontaneous learning through carefully designed activities and materials, creating a supportive atmosphere for every child's unique journey.

Montessori Curriculum
CULTURAL
The Cultural curriculum offers a variety of activities, including learning about the world's continents and their distinctive characteristics, such as animals and environments. Montessori Culture activities contain illustrations of continents and their inhabitants, as well as books and international flags. Children learn the names of continents, seas, and countries throughout the world. They learn using "hands-on" resources like globe map puzzles.
LANGUAGE
Montessori Language Materials include experiences that help children acquire the use of a writing instrument as well as the fundamental abilities of reading written language.
MATHEMATICS
Montessori Mathematics Materials are designed to teach fundamental concepts like as numeration, place value, addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
SENSORIAL
Sensorial materials include a variety of activities and exercises that allow children to perceive the natural order of the physical environment, including features like size, color, form, and dimension. This section prepares the children indirectly for mathematics.
PRACTICAL LIFE
Practical life materials and activities cater to the natural interests of young children, helping them develop physical coordination, fine motor skills, and self- and environmental care. This area promotes independence and prepares the kid to read and write concurrently.
Our Classroom

Infant Care
12-18 months
Our infant program provides substantial attention and care during this crucial developmental stage. We closely monitor each baby's needs, ensuring a healthy routine of body care, eating, and sleeping. Our age-appropriate toys, furnishings, and activities stimulate physical, intellectual, and emotional growth in a safe and engaging environment.

Toddler Program
19 months - 3 years old
We offers a secure and engaging environment for toddlers to play and learn. Our educators guide and support toddlers in developing essential skills, including eating, dressing, and toileting. Each child has their own sleeping cot to ensure they receive the rest they need.

Preschool Curriculum
3 -4 years old
Children at this age want greater attention in a caring and loving atmosphere, which may help them develop their personalities, gain independence, and practice discipline in a healthy and compassionate manner.
In the preschool room, we provide free play , Montessori work time, craft time, show and tell and outdoor time in order to provide opportunities for different development at their own pace.

Kindergarten
5 - 6 years old
Kindergarten is the final and most important year of the early childhood Montessori Education Program, and we provide both half-day and full-day programs for our students in their fifth year. Our mixed-age classrooms allow them to develop their leadership skills, improve their academic abilities, and delve deeper into social and academic pursuits.
The Kindergarten year is the last year of a child's most formative phase, and the potential to build leadership, mentorship, academic, and interpersonal skills will never be more crucial to nurture than it is now.
The learning that occurs throughout the Kindergarten year serves as the last component and solidification of their knowledge. It strengthens the important skills, academic and personal development that the child has been working on in previous years, preparing them for Grade 1.
"Littlebuscalgarychildcare has created a nurturing and stimulating environment where my child thrives. The Montessori approach is evident in their independence and love for learning."
